New Northeast Delta HSA Website Connects Rural Communities to Hope and Resources
Monroe, LA (PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (Northeast Delta HSA), which manages the operation of community-based programs that improve the quality of life of people with major mental illnesses, addictive disorders and developmental disabilities, announced today the launch of its new website at http://www.nedeltahsa.org.
In addition to a trusted, valuable resource that connects people with the behavioral health care services they need, the website provides hope and a transformative experience for individuals and rural communities yearning to realize their full potential.
“Many people who live in the Delta region have never had access to quality, competent behavioral health care nor the type of respect, dignity and caring service that every person truly deserves,” said Dr. Monteic A. Sizer, Northeast Delta HSA Executive Director. “The new Northeast Delta HSA website empowers citizens and communities to quickly and easily find a counselor, a clinic or a program that will help them thoroughly engage in their own lives.”
“We are always in some phase of growth and transformation,” said Sizer. “As the phoenix in our logo portrays, we all have the ability to use the ashes of our former selves to create the person we are destined to become. Northeast Delta HSA is tangibly breaking down barriers that prevent people and communities from living productive lives,” he said. “Barriers may come in the form of outdated, generational stigmas or the simple challenge of finding transportation from a remote location. This website, most importantly, connects our citizens with the resources they need.”
Visitors to the website will also find information about Northeast Delta HSA partnerships, which, for example, deliver integrated behavioral health and primary care to citizens who may never have received this level of service in their lifetime. The website contains not only clinic locations where citizens may find care, but a list of what they would bring with them to their first appointment.
