Clearview Women’s Center Sponsors 2014 Borderline Personality Disorder Events
Venice Beach, CA (PRWEB) April 01, 2014 -- Clearview Women’s Center, a Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) treatment center for women in Los Angeles, is sponsoring four upcoming BPD events around the country.
“The more knowledge there is about Borderline Personality Disorder and BPD treatments, the better chance there is for people to make a lasting recovery from this disorder,” said Michael Roy, MSW, LCSW, founder and executive director of Clearview Treatment Programs and Clearview Women’s Center for Borderline Personality and Emotional Disorders. “Clearview is a strong supporter of events that raise awareness of BPD and further its research and treatment.”
In the coming months, Clearview Women’s Center will sponsor the following events:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy with Parents, Couples and Families Workshop
The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with Parents, Couples and Families Workshop, put on by the Nevada Psychological Association, is being held April 4 and 5, 2014, in Las Vegas. At this two-day workshop, mental health professionals will be introduced to the concepts, strategies, and skills used to work with parents and partners from a DBT perspective. NASSPD Annual Conference
The North American Society for the Study of Personality Disorders (NASSPD) holds its second annual conference April 5 to 6, 2014, in Boston. Linehan Institute Spring Luncheon
This year’s Linehan Institute Spring Luncheon will be held on April 24, 2014. The annual luncheon celebrates and honors the work of Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., who developed Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as a treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder. Annual Yale NEA.BPD Conference
The Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder (NEA.BPD) annual conference is designed to help both professionals and consumers better understand BPD treatment and diagnosis. This year's conference, held May 9, 2014, in New Haven, Conn., will address advances in the assessment and treatment of individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder over the past 10 years.
