ACG Chicago is proud to have been able to present this free webinar, hosted by the Minority Business Development Agency on how mergers and acquisitions (M&A) can help minority businesses grow and strengthen their market position.
The Association of Corporate Growth Chicago team consisted of: John Bintz, Valuation Research Corporation; Venita Fields, Smith Whiley & Company; Craig Miller, ACG Chicago, Inc.; Suzie Saxman, Seyfarth Shaw LLP; and Tom Turmell, TMT Capital Partners, LLC. They presented key concepts, drivers, and issues of strategic growth via M&A, self-assessment/financing options, valuation & due diligence. The goal of webinar was to provide an initial overview for minority businesses who wish to learn the fundamentals of preparing their business to grow through M&A opportunities. Strategic Growth via Mergers and Acquisitions was presented on Thursday, March 20, 2014 and will be available though June 18th on the MBDA website.
The webinar explored how and when mergers or acquisitions can help a business with strategic growth. It covered core areas of these transactions including:
- Determining business and strategic objectives
- Analyzing capital structure
- Quantifying economic impact, and
- Managing due diligence process
