About the Doctor:

William R. Almon, M.D. specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal pain. He uses a unique combination of natural and alternative medicines to help patients manage pain without the unwanted side effects of steroids and cancer-causing x-rays that are common with many other pain treatment programs. Specializing in the use of ultrasound-guided injections to treat back, neck, and knee conditions, Dr. Almon is a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine and has performed and supervised thousands of these procedures successfully over the course of his career. With an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, Dr. Almon graduated from Loyola University‚ Stritch School of Medicine in 1981. From there, he followed his family‚ military tradition and entered active duty with the U.S. Army, being stationed in California where he completed his residency in Family Practice as well as his board certification. His Army service also included a tour in Europe and training at the Academy of Health Sciences in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Today Dr. Almon specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain through the use of natural anti-inflammatory medications. He now prefers safer ultrasound-guided injections for his patients, requiring no sedation or exposure to unnecessary x-rays. For over 15 years he has also been working in tandem with chiropractors and incorporating various alternative pain management techniques quite successfully into his own practice. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Almon is a respected lecturer and consultant to countless other medical doctors, chiropractors, and alternative medicine practitioners.
