Tidewater Physical Therapy To Host Blood Drive at Powhatan Clinic Near Richmond This Friday
Powhatan, Va. (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Virginia Blood Services will host a community blood drive at Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Powhatan clinic Friday, April 4 from 1 to 6 p.m.
To participate, donors must be at least 16 – written consent is required for minors – and weigh 110 pounds or more.
A donor history form at vadonor.org also can help potential donors know if they are eligible to give blood.
Think you can’t give blood? Think again. There many health conditions and medications that do not prevent individuals from giving blood.
If you are interested and still not sure that you will qualify, schedule an appointment and talk to a blood service representative.
Blood donations are an invaluable gift, according to Be the Giving Type, a partner organization with Virginia Blood Services. Every two seconds, someone is in need of blood and without donations that allow for blood transfusions, an estimated 4.5 million Americans could die each year.
Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Powhatan clinic is located at 3510 Anderson Highway, Suite 2 in Powhatan.
