Mostyn Law Employees to Participate in Charity Bike Ride to Raise Money for the National MS Society

Houston, Texas (PRWEB) April 07, 2014 -- Mostyn Law is preparing for the annual MS150, a charity bike ride from Houston to Austin that raises money and awareness for multiple sclerosis (MS). Over twenty employees of Mostyn Law will take part in the ride which takes place April 12th–13th. The larger event is seeking to raise $18.5 million.

This is the fifth year of participation by Mostyn Law and the eighth year for Amber Mostyn, principal at Mostyn Law. The firm treats its team to lodging, meals, and even a post-race massage.

“This ride is an important event for our Firm and families,” said Amber Mostyn. “When people get involved, they quickly realize that almost everyone knows someone affected by MS. From friends and relatives to co-workers and neighbors, MS is not something that’s isolated. I am always so touched by our law firm family and their commitment to the MS150.”

Mostyn Law riders committed to raising $1,000 each, more than the required $400, and have been holding raffles and hosting events at local venues. Along with raising money, riders have to train for the two-day 150 mile bike ride. Employees have ridden together and on their own in order to prepare for the grueling ride.

“I ride because, right now, I can,” Cossette Callahan, team captain for Team Mostyn Law and five-year MS150 veteran, said of riding and having MS. “MS is so unpredictable—you never know what’s coming from one day to the next.”
