Flourish Conference Heralds New Model of Success for Women in Leadership
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) April 09, 2014 -- The Flourish 2014 U.S. Conference Tour for Women in Leadership announces a new model of success for high-achieving professionals, leveraging the science of “flourishing.” The conferences are designed to empower women in business and in corporate executive positions to flourish in their professional, personal and civic lives. Exclusive to the conference, participants will experience small group discussions with Ohio C-level executives and community leaders during the “Flourish Executive Fireside Chats.” Flourish also offers each attendee a customized leadership assessment along with each participant’s unique 100-Day Flourish Plan.
The four-city "Flourish Conference for Women in Leadership” will kick off July 11, 2014 in Washington, D.C. with conferences held in Atlanta, GA on July 25, Cleveland, OH on August 29, culminating in a three-day Flourish executive retreat in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Sept. 26-28. The content-rich workshops and immersive development practicums provide participants key strategies for harnessing power of inspired, yet rigorous strategies to transform their careers, businesses and their lives.
Hosted by Dr. Rachel Talton and Dr. Monikah Ogando, these sessions provide in-depth analysis and mentoring to help elite women flourish. Participants will experience executive coaching and Flourish’s signature offering: Transformation Immersion™.
Lisa Wheeler-Cooper, the VP of Marketing and Communications for the American Heart Association, recently attended a 90-minute Flourish session. "Flourish was a blessing. I was there at the right time at the right place, and I knew I had to take the opportunity and step up. I decided to take a stand for myself. A fire has emerged within, and I am ready to flourish,” she said.
Flourish is dedicated to transforming the lives of high-achieving women in corporate and entrepreneurial leadership roles. Research shows that in today’s dynamic environment, many women leaders are often tasked with increasing responsibility, but decreasing resources needed to focus on their professional and personal well-being. The literature also shows that when women have the support of a like-minded and safe community and the tools and resources to thrive, their life satisfaction increases, as does their productivity and effectiveness, elevating not only the businesses they lead, but also the people and communities they touch.
“Being extraordinarily successful can also mean being in a constant state of overwhelm,” Dr. Talton explains. “Our goal is to help women who have already achieved a level of professional success to thrive across several areas of their lives – achieving a sense of accomplishment, while experiencing authentic joyfulness along the way. This is truly our life’s work.”
Participants will receive a personal assessment highlighting leadership strengths and areas for growth, create a customized Flourish Action PlanTM for the next 100 days, work together with peers, and work to change unwanted habits by refining leadership behaviors. Attendees will experience personalized expert facilitation and guidance throughout the conference, in addition to the incredible networking and collaboration.
