Update expands PicsArt’s editing features and takes customization to new level.

SocialIn Inc., developer and publisher of the wildly popular PicsArt mobile photo editing and drawing app, today announced a new update for Android, where PicsArt is the most installed app in the photography category.

The new update expands PicsArt’s robust set of editing features while taking customization to an entirely new level to give users more creative power that, up until now, had never been possible on a mobile device. Such new and refined features include:

●    Selection Tool: The various options of the selection tool provide the pinpoint control for editing images on a mobile that rival those of professional desktop editors. Users can copy/paste the selection within their photos, create clipart items, localize effects on targeted area, or create varying perspectives of the same view.

●    Shape Masks: Shape Masks allow users to overlay masks in the form of various shapes to their photo. The fully customizable masks are great for creating stylish cards or trendy photos in frames.

●    Custom Clipart: For the first time, users can cut out pieces from their images to create reusable clipart that lends their own personal stamp to pop art images, collages, greeting cards, and signature images.

Additionally, users can use multi-touch zoom and wrap-around text to integrate text and images in a variety of new ways. Users can also access the app’s social networking component much faster to make collaborating with other artists a snap.

“With our latest Android update, users get the creative power of a professional desktop solution in the palm of their hands,” said Hovhannes Avoyan, CEO at PicsArt. “Thanks to many of the suggestions we get from our creative community of 12 million registered users, PicsArt continues to take photo editing and drawing to new heights.”
