Thought Technology Offers a One-day Biofeedback Workshop at the Institute for Holistic Health Studies at San Francisco State University
Montreal, Quebec (PRWEB) April 24, 2014 -- On May 21, 2014, Thought Technology's Director of Clinical Interface, Dr. Didier Combatalade D.C., will provide an in-depth look at the new BioGraph Infiniti Software to attendees at his San Francisco workshop.
Biofeedback is a learning process in which people are taught to improve their health and performance by observing signals generated by their own bodies such as heart rate, temperature and skin conductance. The BioGraph Infiniti system allows for this information to be fed back to the person in real time, allowing clients to learn to control their response to different stressors. It is scientifically based and validated by studies and clinical practice. The many uses of biofeedback include relaxation, stress control, rehabilitation and peak performance.
The 1-day workshop is ideal for researchers who want to learn how to use the latest cutting edge physiological monitoring technology as well as health professionals who are interested in adding biofeedback to their practice. The morning session provides an overview of the key features of the BioGraph Infiniti 6.0 software and hardware. Software suites that can be showcased include Neurofeedback, Physiology, Rehab-Continence, Rehab- Muscle , Z-Score, HRV, and Reaction Time.
The afternoon session, shows participants how to use different sensors including Surface Electromyography (SEMG), Respiration, Temperature, Skin Conductance, Electroencephalography (EEG), Heart Rate and Electrocardiology (EKG) with audio and visual multimedia biofeedback screens, sounds and games.
