Service provider adds two to European team.

Trimont Real Estate Advisors has increased its capacity to serve Spain’s commercial real estate market by welcoming two new key members to its European team: Enric Batlle Rius as an Advisor and Luis Pons Escolano as an Asset Manager. The Atlanta-based firm expands its footprint into what The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg have recently described as a potential “bull market” and an “investment boon,” respectively.

Batlle, who will be stationed in Barcelona, was previously with SNS Property Finance, where he led the restructuring of loans and investment portfolios. His experience also includes leadership at Tempobridge – an accelerator for technology companies – and a CFO appointment at digital video solutions provider Netsonic.

Pons, who most recently directed the Benelux arm of consulting firm Igmasa Management, will serve customers from Trimont’s European headquarters in the Netherlands. Prior to that, he led accounts for Anfora Real Estate, where he specialized in intermediation of finance and real estate services for banks and investment funds.

Batlle and Pons each will leverage more than a decade of industry knowledge into managing Trimont’s rapidly increasing Spanish loan portfolio, which has recently surpassed one billon euros of invested capital under management.

“Trimont is always honored to serve clients as their trusted partner,” said Petra Fishert, Senior Vice President and Head of Trimont’s European operations. “Enric and Luis will be invaluable to cultivating and serving relationships in Spain and beyond.”

Trimont Principal Greg Winchester said the move continues the company’s expansion into major markets worldwide. “We are cultivating a team of high-caliber, seasoned real estate professionals who deliver the level of service and counsel our customers deserve,” he said. “Since entering Europe three years ago, we have built a solid foundation for continued growth of our network there.”
