SaaS Veteran Troy Anderson Selected to Lead Company’s Development and Technology Strategy

iModules Software, the leading provider of online collaboration and engagement tools primarily for higher education, today announced the hiring of a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Troy Anderson. Anderson is responsible for the company's technology strategy, software development, architecture, QA, and infrastructure activities. iModules processes nearly $300 million in financial transactions and sends more than one billion emails on behalf of its clients annually.

"Troy comes to us with more than 20 years of experience in technology and a broad range of mobile, digital, and interactive experience," said Fred Weiss, president of iModules. "He brings a strong track record of customer- and technology-driven innovation that will help us continue to deliver solutions that make our clients successful."

Anderson’s background includes a recent role serving as the Chief Product Officer at Urban Airship, a leading mobile platform-as-a-service. He is also a co-founder of Valiant Hero, a logic-as-a-service, language interface technology. Previous to that, he was Chief of Applications and Products at Snapfish (by Hewlett Packard), the number one online photo service, with more than 90 million members in over 12 countries and 2 billion unique photos stored online. Troy also served as Chief Executive Officer at KnowledgePlex, Inc., a company that pioneered solutions for not-for-profits including a geospatial-as-a-service for clients like, and a CMS-as-a-service for clients such as Enterprise Community Partners and Harvard University. He is also is a published author - The Way of Go - and a champion of indigenous language revival for his Tribe, the Coquille Indian Tribe. Anderson holds a BA in Linguistics and MA in Anthropology from Stanford and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
