Asetek® will feature its range of energy efficient data center liquid cooling solutions at Data Center World Spring 2014 at the Mirage Resort in Las Vegas – April 30th and May 1st, 2014. Asetek’s technology will be on display at booth #1028.
Servers and blades from a variety of server manufacturers incorporating Asetek’s RackCDU™ technology will be on display, including both RackCDU D2C™ (Direct to Chip) and RackCDU ISAC™ (In-Server Air Conditioning). Also featured will be RackCDU technology currently deployed by Cray® customers in Cray’s CS-300LC™ Cluster Supercomputers. Additionally, visitors can view real-time monitoring of a high-utilization 92 node cluster cooled by RackCDU D2C.
“Data center operators understand that ‘Liquid Cooling Done Right™’ includes more than impacts on TCO, Opex and increased server density,” said André Sloth Eriksen, Founder and CEO of Asetek. “To be done right, it must include an understanding of how data centers operate in the real-world. RackCDU also addresses these day to day operational factors like servicability, redundancy, failure isolation, monitoring and alarming.”
As validated by Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, RackCDU provides data center cooling savings in excess of 50%. RackCDU D2C hot water liquid cooling removes heat from CPUs, GPUs, memory modules and other hot spots within the servers. Heat can then be rejected into ambient outdoor air eliminating HVAC and CRAC systems. Furthermore, it can also be used to recover up to 50% of IT power for use in district heating. D2C enables server density increases of 2.5x to 5x while ISAC’s sealed servers can capture almost 100% of server heat.
Data Center World is the leading educational conference and expo for data center and facilities management professionals and the largest global event of its kind. Data Center World is presented by AFCOM, the premier association representing 4,500 of the largest data centers around the world.
