The Florida Writers Association Presents Crime & Police Procedures Mini-Conference
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- The Florida Writers Association will present the Crime & Police Procedure Mini-Conference on Saturday, June 7th from 8:30AM – 4:30PM at the Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore. Experts, including a former FBI Special Agent, a crime scene investigator, a prosecuting attorney, a detective/supervisor of undercover narcotics, and the recently retired Forensic Services Bureau Commander for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will take writers and authors through a crime, from soup to nuts. This unique conference helps writers understand the mindset of a criminal and how to write from his or her perspective. Writers learn how to avoid the mistakes that make knowledgeable readers say, “That would never happen.”
The Crime & Police Procedures Mini-Conference registration fee is $69 for Florida Writers Association members and $89 for non-members. Continental breakfast, snacks and lunch are included in registration fee. The Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore is located at 2225 North Lois AV in Tampa, FL.
