Attorney Donald J. Molnar Co-Authored a Chapter in “The DUII Trial Notebook”
Portland, OR (PRWEB) May 08, 2014 -- The 2014 edition of The DUII Trial Notebook includes a chapter that is co-authored by Portland Criminal Defense Attorney Donald J. Molnar. According to the website of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (the publisher of the book), Attorney Molnar co-wrote Chapter 10, which is titled “Breath, Blood & Urine.” This chapter—which is one of the book’s three brand new chapters—provides a comprehensive overview of the forensics involved in alcohol testing. The DUII Trial Notebook serves as a manual for Oregon attorneys who provide defense in driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) cases.
According to the website of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (OCDLA), the “Breath, Blood & Urine” chapter includes advice on how to cross-examine the Intoxilyzer, as well as on retrograde extrapolation and Widmark formulations. The 2014 edition of The DUII Trial Notebook consists of two sections—the actual “Notebook” that consists of practice tips, motions, case law and checklists (in a small enough binder that lawyers can take it with them to court); and the “Resource Guide” that includes two binders of materials for more in-depth research.
Attorney Molnar, who is a member of the OCDLA, has taken a special interest in DUII defense within his practice. Not only has Mr. Molnar been accepted as a member of the National College of DUI defense, but he is also the only DUI attorney in Oregon who is certified in Forensic Assessment of Impaired Drivers. Furthermore, he is a certified administrator of DUII standardized field sobriety tests, and he is also a trained operator of the Intoxilyzer 8000. He has also received other forms of scientific training.
After earning his law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2005, Mr. Molnar was admitted into the Oregon State Bar that same year. Throughout his career as an attorney, he has obtained a great amount of trial experience and has even successfully argued cases in the Oregon Court of Appeals. Attorney Molnar has an Avvo rating of 8.2 “Excellent.”
