Integrality Uses LivePlan to Teach Business Planning Class for Small Startups
DALLAS (PRWEB) May 12, 2014 -- Palo Alto Software has partnered with Integrality, a business consulting firm, to offer business planning and training class for entrepreneurs looking to launch and grow new businesses but lack the resources and support to do so.
The class will give entrepreneurs access to Palo Alto Software’s business planning and tracking tool, LivePlan. Using LivePlan, the course will teach entrepreneurs the basics of business planning and financial tracking. Almost 90 entrepreneurs from the Dallas, Austin and Houston areas will participate in the course, giving them a chance to overcome the funding barrier that is often faced by startups.
"Creating a business plan is not about theory, it is about measuring and executing actionable tasks. The key to planning for your business is not in writing the ideas on paper, it is about creating metrics you can use to measure success in real-time,” said Cynthia Nevels, senior partner at Integrality. “When I teach entrepreneurs how to create their business strategy I require them to use cloud-based technology, like LivePlan, to create the plan as I teach it in real-time, and that's powerful."
The class, titled Plan as you Go, is sponsored by PeopleFund, a nonprofit that works to create economic opportunity and financial stability for underserved people. It will run from May to December and will be taught in Dallas, Houston and Austin.
Not only will this class provide jobs and opportunity for financial stability for new entrepreneurs and startups in Dallas, Austin and Houston, but they will also help develop economic revitalization and growth for the communities they serve. Each participant will use LivePlan to create a business plan and have a chance to pitch potential investors. Many of the resulting companies will receive funding and eventually launch which helps fuel the local economy.
“We’re so happy to be a part of an initiative that is empowering individuals that have in the past witnessed many setbacks and barriers to entry when it comes to entrepreneurship,” said Sabrina Parsons, CEO of Palo Alto Software. “LivePlan is the perfect tool to help new entrepreneurs get off their feet and then grow as quickly as possible once their business is up and running.”
