Lake Ridge Academy Middle School Mathematics Teacher Awarded the Outstanding Mathematics Educator Award
North Ridgeville, OH (PRWEB) May 16, 2014 -- Lake Ridge Academy middle school math teacher, Miss Erin Sims, was awarded the Outstanding Mathematics Educator distinction by the Greater Cleveland Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
Miss Sims has been teaching at Lake Ridge Academy for four years. Erin also coaches the JV volleyball team and is the middle school basketball coach. Erin was nominated by upper school mathematics teacher, Mr. Wade Zwingler because "Erin's students always come to me well prepared. I don't have to worry about them not understanding the material presented in Algebra I."
Middle school director, Mrs. Danielle Parrish, says "Miss Sims does a great job challenging our students and finding innovative ways to engage them in everyday math. Erin goes the extra mile as a teacher and coach for our middle school students! We are so proud of Erin for her award; she is a great representative of Lake Ridge Academy in our community!"
Miss Sims was presented with her award at the GCCTM spring banquet on Tuesday, May 6 at John Carroll University.
