FirstService Residential-Managed Community Associations Win Florida Communities of Excellence Awards
Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) May 16, 2014 -- Several community associations managed by FirstService Residential, Florida’s leading property management company, were recipients of awards at the 2014 Florida Communities of Excellence Awards, held on Friday, May 2, at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
As a presenting sponsor of the awards banquet, FirstService Residential joined other companies that dedicate themselves to meeting the needs of residents who live in condominium and homeowners associations. The Florida Communities of Excellence Awards is the only independent recognition program for community associations in the state.
Founded in 2009, the program serves to laud communities statewide for various outstanding achievements in a variety of categories, including Financial Innovation, Disaster Preparedness, Safety & Security, and Civic Volunteerism & Advocacy.
Metropolis at Dadeland in Miami won for “Energy Efficiency” for its energy conservation programs, Waterchase Master POA in Tampa won for Family-Friendly Programs & Initiatives, and The Club at Brickell Bay in Miami walked away with an award in the “The Comeback Kid” category. This award recognizes communities whose boards and managers have developed and implemented successful turnaround programs to revitalize distressed properties.
