Taste of Summer: Omega3 Innovations Launches a Piña Colada Omega-3 Cookie
Venice, FL (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 -- On Monday, May 19th, Omega3 Innovations welcomes a new flavor to its gluten-free, omega-3 product line - the Piña Colada Omega Cookie®.
Chosen by popular vote, the Piña Colada Omega Cookie competed against rival Berry Blast Omega Cookie for selection as the biotech company’s newest limited edition flavor. After a three week voting period, the Piña Colada flavor narrowly trumped the Berry Blast option. With consumers voting on the company’s blog, at the Sarasota Farmers Market and through the front door, the Piña Colada captured 55 percent of the vote.
“We were excited to have customers participate in the flavor selection process,” said Carol Urofsky, leader of the Omega3 Innovations bakery. “We want to satisfy our customers’ taste buds, and this ‘cookie contest’ was a great way to engage with them.”
Baked with the summer season in mind, the Piña Colada Omega Cookie features a tropical blend of pineapple chunks and toasted coconut. As with all Omega Cookie flavors, each cookie contains 2000 mg of EPA/DHA omega-3, in addition to five grams of gluten-free soluble oat fiber, 800 IUs of vitamin D, and calcium.

As a limited edition flavor, the Piña Colada cookie will only be available while supplies last.
