Clayton M. Wilcox, Ed.D., Named to LTS Education Systems Advisory Board
Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) May 21, 2014 -- LTS Education Systems (http://www.ltseducation.com), publisher of adaptive learning technology and game-based learning systems, welcomes Clayton M. Wilcox, Ed.D., to its Advisory Board.
Dr. Wilcox has served as Superintendent of Washington County Public Schools, Maryland, since 2011. In 2014, he has twice been honored as an outstanding leader in educational technology – both nationally and in the State of Maryland.
The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) recently named Dr. Wilcox a 2014 recipient of the Outstanding Leader Award, recognizing individuals outside of the classroom who lead efforts to implement technology solutions for improving education and student achievement.
Earlier this year, the Maryland Society for Educational Technology (MSET) named Dr. Wilcox as Maryland’s Outstanding Technology Leader for 2014.
“We are extremely honored to have Dr. Wilcox join our Advisory Board,” said LTS President Don Kidd. “As more school systems make the transition to integrate educational technology solutions, his leadership and vision in this area will have a tremendous impact on our product development and in building new partnerships.”
Dr. Wilcox has said, “Great technology in the hands of a great teacher leads to better school outcomes.” A champion for the use of technology to engage learners and support classroom instruction, Dr. Wilcox connects with the LTS approach of motivating student learning with games and rewards, while supporting educators with agile tools for continuous assessment and real-time data feedback.
Dr. Wilcox joins fellow LTS Advisory Board members and national education authorities Bill Daggett, Ed.D., Founder and Chairman of the International Center for Leadership in Education; Raymond J. McNulty, Chairman of the Board for the National Dropout Prevention Network; and Margaret Jorgensen, Ph.D., Chief Academic Officer at K12.
