Bielat Santore & Company Sells Ocean County, NJ Pub
Manchester, NJ (PRWEB) May 30, 2014 -- The recently remodeled Irish Pub called the “Tipperary Pub,” located on Route 547 in Manchester Township, New Jersey has been sold according to Richard R. Santore of, Bielat Santore & Company, Allenhurst, New Jersey, the broker for the sale. A small group of local real estate investors had purchased a run-down tavern in 2011 and completely restored the facility into an attractive Irish Pub. With no experience in the restaurant business, the investors engaged the service of an associate with industry experience to manage the business for them. That engagement did not work out pressing the investors into the role of absentee owner/operators of the business. “The group made a conscious decision to sell and engaged the brokerage services of Bielat Santore & Company to do so,” adds Santore.
The new owner is an experienced restaurateur with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Emil Hartel, former owner of “Pavo Pizza” in Toms River is the new proprietor. “Going forward, the restaurant will not be known as an Irish Pub but a pub with a variety of quality food and drink,” says Hartel. Hartel of German decent intends to add a German night on Mondays, retain an Irish night on Tuesdays and then modify the menu and the concept completely to incorporate traditional American food and the pizza he was famous for at his prior. “I am thinking about installing a coal-fire pizza oven. There is nothing like it in the area. I have a feeling it will be a winner down here,” states Hartel.
The restaurant is designed with a sizeable oval bar located in the center of the main room that can seat 40 patrons and is equipped with 12 draft beer taps, and flat screen TV’s. The dining area around the bar is capable of seating over ninety (90) patrons, with a mix of standard dining tables and “high top” tables located throughout. Two over-stuffed black leather chairs are situated in front of a big stone fire place allowing patrons to enjoy a drink while sitting next to a fire.
In addition to this main area, the pub also has a smaller dining room complete with a full service bar capable of seating an additional 50 people. This second lounge area is the home of a very popular “Whiskey Bar” where you can get your hands on some of the rarest, most coveted whiskeys on the planet, as well as delicious cocktails that feature everyone's favorite brown water. The room is also used for parties and events as well as an overflow dining room during Friday and Saturday night dinner hours. The restaurant will remain open following the sale, seven days a week from 11:30 am until 2:00 am.
