OceanGrafix Releases Instructional Video Series for Mariners
St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- OceanGrafix, a leading provider of print-on-demand nautical charts, today announced the release of a new educational video series that is intended to educate boaters and help keep them safe on the water.
Designed to be quick and effective, each OceanGrafix video runs approximately two minutes and is narrated by subject-matter expert Bob Sweet, senior navigator, author of The Weekend Navigator & GPS for Mariners, and former U.S. Power Squadrons National Educational Officer.
Topics highlighted include how to plan a route with a paper chart and compass, as well as how to do an accordion fold on a chart, pre-voyage, so that it is easy to unfold and use once on the water. “There is a lot of information that boaters need to know to navigate effectively,” says OceanGrafix President Ron Walz, “and there are definitely knowledge gaps. We knew we could help fill those gaps, and we felt video was the ideal medium.”
Four videos have been completed and can be viewed on the OceanGrafix YouTube channel. Visitors who subscribe to the channel will receive updates when additional videos from the series are posted.
