Unique Rustic Event Venues on the Rise in Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana
Shreveport-Bossier, LA (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- Los Paloma, Dixie Gin and Cash Point are popular rustic event venues that are highly sought after for western style weddings, reunions, fundraisers, parties and other events in Shreveport-Bossier, La.
Los Paloma is a multipurpose event venue that hosts a variety of functions including weddings, reunions and graduation parties. It even offers a shooting range for business meetings and fundraisers. The 9,000-square-foot, barn-inspired structure is located 25 minutes outside of Bossier City in Benton, La. This venue features a 160-inch projection screen, a full service kitchen, outdoor grills, loft area, dressing rooms and more. The venue can accommodate up to 400 people and will supply chairs and tables.
Another unique venue is Dixie Gin, located 20 minutes from downtown Shreveport. This 3,000-square-foot venue sits on four acres, surrounded by cotton fields and for many years served as a cotton gin. This venue has been used as a location for Christmas parties, weddings, reunions, vow renewals and as a filming location for popular movies, including Drive Angry, starring Nicholas Cage. With a covered outside chapel seating 180 guests and an inside reception area holding 550 guests, Dixie Gin is a perfect wedding and reception venue.
“People who book with the Dixie Gin not only receive a one-of-a-kind, country chic venue, but also receive our assistance as full service wedding planners,” said Lauren Allen, co-owner of Dixie Gin. “My partner and I are an amazing incentive, because we will take care of everything for our guests, including rehearsals, the wedding ceremony and reception, along with providing additional vendor information.”
A similar, yet different event venue overlooking the Red River is Cash Point, also known as “The Party Place.” This bigger venue features 6,000 square feet of indoor space, a 2,000-square-foot porch and is surrounded by 11 acres of hay fields. Conveniently located 15 minutes from Interstate 220, Cash Point offers a variety of event packages that include catering and liquor, decorations, DJ services, photography, rentals and consulting. The inside space accommodates 200 guests, while the outside can hold up to 500.
“People love to have their events at Cash Point because of its great location, easy parking and country elegance. We even have a gazebo made out of grain silo,” said Judi Bruce, co-owner of Cash Point. “We make sure our guests have the perfect rustic experience they desire.”
