Rod Miller founded the non-profit CRS, Inc. in 1972 to provide training and technical assistance to corrections facilities on many subjects that affect the efficiency of corrections facilities including staffing, jail operations, jail programs, jail industries, jail facility design, liability and risk management. His work has as taken him to over 1,400 jails and prisons throughout North America and has worked with several Department of Justice agencies. Rod is the co-author of the NIC Jail Staffing Analysis books and the author of the Detention and Corrections Caselaw Catalog and the Detention and Corrections Caselaw Quarterly. He has published over 100 articles in American Jails, Sheriff and other national professional publications, including a 22-articles series on jail staffing for the National Sheriffs’ Association.
