Rich Dad Education Charity Yard Sale to Benefit Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties a Success
Cape Coral, FL (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Rich Dad® Education, a leader in financial education, recently held a charity yard sale to benefit Habitat for Humanity. The yard sale was a success. In just 4 hours, over $650 was raised with 100% of the proceeds donated to Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry counties. All of the items not sold at the event were donated to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore thrift store located at 31 Willis Road, North Fort Myers, Florida 33903.
Of the over $650, roughly $30 was raised by employee’s children and grandchildren selling drinks, snacks and their no-longer-used stuffed animals and toys. In addition to giving back to the community, they were introduced to valuable financial skills including negotiating, goal setting, and handling money.
Rich Dad Education would like to thank the people in the greater Cape Coral and Fort Myers area who donated items and shopped at the yard sale. We are proud to be a part of such a generous community

Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties is celebrating its 31st anniversary as a chartered affiliate. It is one of the largest Habitat affiliates in the country, and has helped 1,286 families in Lee and Hendry counties become homeowners. Through the use of volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, homes are sold to the homeowners with an interest-free mortgage and monthly payments set at less than 30% of the homeowner’s income, making homeownership an affordable reality.
