ICAP Patent Brokerage Enlisted by Alcatel-Lucent to Accelerate Patent Monetization Via Auction of 820-plus Patents Covering Key Technologies
Paris (PRWEB) August 04, 2014 -- As part of efforts by Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) to accelerate the monetization of patents generated by its extensive research and development investments, intellectual property broker ICAP Patent Brokerage has been engaged to hold a sealed bid auction of over 820 patent assets across 14 distinct technological fields. The auction is scheduled to take place on October 9, 2014.

It is also one of the largest portfolios in the telecommunications industry, covering a broad spectrum of technologies, with some 45,000 patent assets, including more than 30,000 issued patents and some 15,000 pending applications. The patents cover a wide range of technologies, including fixed line and wireless communications, consumer electronics, multimedia, optical, software, cloud computing, networking and network security.
