100 Largest Hospitals in America
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) August 13, 2014 -- Becker's Hospital Review has published a list of the 100 largest hospitals in the United States based on bed size.
The hospitals included on the list have anywhere from 688 beds to more than 2,250 beds.
The bed counts the list is based on were reported by hospitals to CMS in their most recent cost reports. Data is from the American Hospital Directory. The reported bed counts include all medical/surgical and special care beds in children's, critical access and short-term acute-care facilities.
The hospital rankings total 100, though the list includes ties, so there are 101 total hospitals included on the list.
Note: This list is not an endorsement of included hospitals, health systems or associated healthcare providers, and organizations cannot pay for inclusion on this list.
