AMTC’s Ty Alaxandar Is Headlining Jam Tour With Reality Dance TV, Remains CEO of Nonprofit “Fit To Flow”
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 16, 2014 -- Tyler (Ty Alaxandar) Griffin attended Summer SHINE 2012 and now performs in many facets of the entertainment industry. His passions and talents have recently landed him a headlining spot on the Boys Of Summer tour with Reality Dance Television.
Boys of Summer is a group of Viners, YouTubers and artists who are standing up against bullying by traveling the country and performing for their fans. The tour began on July 19, 2014 and has already visited five cities. Ty is performing alongside singers and dancers like Sammy Wilkinson, Aaron Carpenter and Taylor Caniff. Ty speaks about the purpose of the tour: “Too many kids are being bullied and are harming themselves. This tour is about reaching out and letting them know that they are perfect just the way they are. I was bullied a while ago so I know how it feels. It's a terrible thing to go through. I owe all of my healing and growth to God and to what I have learned on this tour, through the people I have met.”
Since SHINE, Ty has graduated from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, modeled for American Eagle’s “Live Your Life” campaign and played the lead (Sonny) in the off-Broadway production of “In The Heights.” He is also founder and CEO of the non-profit performing arts organization Fit to Flow, which is a group of members who work with underprivileged youth “to raise awareness for the need of performing arts in various communities.”
Growing up in North Bergen, NJ, Ty remembers doing at-home performances for his family and friends. He began writing music at nine and speaks about how his lyrics have progressed. “When I speak to people about the type of music I make, I tell them I am not a Christian rapper. I’m a rapper who is a Christian. I tell my story, tell how I feel and I speak what is on my mind and heart every time I make a song. What you are hearing is me and my life,” Tyler said.

He is excited to continue following God’s call on his life and is thankful for his supporting fans. “I love every single one of my fans. Whether you've been here since day one, or this is day one of you supporting my dream. If you support me I support you 100 percent. This journey won't be easy, but as long as I've got you all I'm grateful,” Ty said.
AMTC is a non-profit ministry dedicated to making good bolder in film, fashion, music and theatre. The organization is currently holding auditions around the country for the international SHINE Conference. For more information about auditions, please visit http://www.amtcworld.org.
