Stepping Stones Museum for Children to Host 11th Annual Swing Into It! Golf Tournament At The Stanwich Club To Benefit Open Arms Program
Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) August 21, 2014 -- Playing for learning: It’s a “win-win” situation! Participants in the 11th annual Swing Into It! Golf Tournament will enjoy a great game of golf and help Stepping Stones Museum for Children ensure that every child can enjoy the museum’s educational exhibits and programs regardless of financial, language or special needs barriers. Whether you are the next Rory McIlroy or have never picked up an iron, supporters of the museum will rendezvous at the Stanwich Club in Greenwich on Thursday, Oct. 2.
A staple Stepping Stones event, this year marks the 11th Swing Into It! Tournament. In its 10-year history, the tournament has grossed more than $1,000,000 to directly benefit the museum’s Open Arms initiative. The proceeds from this event help make the museum’s programs and exhibits accessible to underserved communities.
This year, the Open Arms program has reached more than 60,000 children, caregivers and teachers throughout the region. Open Arms offers monthly Get Into It! FREE evenings, parent workshops, free traveling exhibits for schools and numerous other educational, informational and learning experiences to inspire lifelong learning.
Swing Into It! begins with a shotgun tee off at 12:30 p.m. Enjoy lunch, golf, an evening cocktail reception and a silent auction. Gather a foursome together to help raise money for this important cause.
