Jackson, who has over 12 years of coaching experience and 16 years of playing experience, recently played in his 67th professional game for the AFL's Orlando Predators as a signed emergency Kicker. He made all six of his PAT's and one tackle to help beat Tampa Bay 56-52. Jackson was also selected as Team America's Kicker and helped Team American win 24-7 vs Team Europe in the CDFL Euro-American Challenge on December 20, 2013 in South Carolina. Coach Jackson won his second National Championship with the Alabama Hammers of the PIFL for 2013. He has over 12 years of coaching experience and 16 years of playing experience.
In his interview at MichaelHusted.com, Jackson talks about the goal of Team Jackson Kicking.
“Team Jackson Kicking develops kickers, punters and long snappers from the ground up at the youth, prep, collegiate and professional level,” says Jackson. “Our motto is to Visualize Believe Success and in order for that to work, players have to work on their mental game just as much as their physical game.”
He says he is looking forward to being part of the NCS national team of coaches, adding one of his main reasons for becoming part of NCS was because of his respect for Michael Husted.
“I have known Michael Husted since 2007 and attended his free agent camps twice, which both were extremely organized and provided the platform for me to develop at the professional level,” says Jackson. “Michael has a fantastic reputation. He is a knowledgeable special teams coach, and just an overall good person. Michael has really developed NCS to being the premiere division of quality kicking, punting and snapping coaches across the country and I am very excited to be aboard.
Husted developed the National Camp Series (NCS) after spending 9 years in the NFL. He says he appreciates Jackson’s words of support and is looking forward to working with Jackson in 2014.
“NCS Associates are some of the best kicking coaches in the country,” says Husted. “NCS coaches provide the highest quality instruction to high school kicking specialists around the country.”
He says Coach Brian Jackson only adds to the quality coaches NCS provides its students.
ABOUT THE NATIONAL CAMP SERIES (NCS):
The National Camp Series (NCS) is a nationwide network of expert kicking coaches with NFL and College level playing experience. The goal of NCS is to provide effective instruction on the field and guidance off of the field that will allow student-athletes the ability to leverage their sport to get a college education.
The NCS offers regional DIVISIONAL Camps, CHAMPIONSHIP Camps and an annual SUPER CAMP that helps student-athletes gain experience through competition, prove consistency through localized training, and provide exposure to colleges and universities through our objective evaluation camps utilizing the Kicking IndeX (KIX) Player Rating System.
The National Camp Series was developed by former NFL Kicker Michael Husted. After a successful NFL career, Michael determined that there needed to be a more cohesive, analytical, and effective process to coach, evaluate, and guide student-athletes looking to play at the next level.
