Career Directors International to Offer Webinar to Career and Resume Entrepreneurs Covering Ergonomic Tips to Optimize the Home Office
Melbourne, Florida (PRWEB) August 27, 2014 -- When someone works at their desk all day, as most resume writers and career coaches do, it’s not uncommon to deal with challenges and repercussions of sitting all day, repetitive movement, and inactivity. Because Career Directors International (CDI) cares about the whole body wellness of their members beyond the success of their career practices, it was decided a complimentary member webinar on ergonomic tips to optimize the home office would not only be desirable but necessary.
The response to the announcement of this upcoming event has been a positive one. There is a high percentage of individuals who work for themselves who choose to do so to be able to work in a modified workspace that can accommodate personal health or family issues. To minimize complications and create a healthy workplace, ergonomics can be a helpful addition and preventative measure.
CDI was excited to find that one of their own, Posey Salem of Radiant Resume Career Services, maintained the expertise to lead this program. Posey is a Certified Advanced Resume Writer. She worked as a safety engineer and nation-wide occupational safety and health trainer for seven years. She was authorized by OSHA to deliver outreach training and achieved their 'recommended trainer' status. She is a Certified Master Trainer (CMT) and Certified Instructional Systems Designer (CISD) with a BS degree in Safety Engineering.
The program, Ergonomic Tips to Optimize Your Home Office, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 3:30 PM Eastern and will run approximately one hour.
Topics to be covered include how to optimize the home office using ergonomic strategies and best practices along with a discussion of discussion of chronic pain and injury resulting from cumulative trauma and ways to prevent injury and alleviate discomfort. More specifically, the session will explore:
• How to recognize symptoms of repetitive stress and cumulative trauma injury.
