First River Energy LLC Names Robert Throckmorton Chief Information Officer
Denver, CO. (PRWEB) September 08, 2014 -- First River Energy LLC today announced it has named Robert Throckmorton as chief information officer. In this role, Throckmorton will lead the building of cloud-based infrastructure enabling First River Energy to provide its customers convenient access to valuable real-time transaction and logistics information, as well as monitor and optimize its crude oil gathering and marketing operations in real time.
“Robert is a dynamic and highly skilled technology and security executive who will bring important data infrastructure expertise to First River Energy as we revolutionize the way independent producers connect to the buyers of their crude oil,” said CEO Johan Themaat. “He has valuable experience in delivering technology projects on time and on budget, managing teams of technology professionals, and developing security strategies, standards and management of threat detection and protection technologies. Before joining First River Energy, Throckmorton was vice president of First Data’s infrastructure security team and managed over 30 professionals focused on the global protection of the company’s networks and systems. Previously, he was a security engineer at ExxonMobil where he was responsible for evaluating security, assessing risk, and introducing new network security technologies into the corporate network.

Throckmorton has a bachelor’s degree in computer technology from Purdue University.
