N2N and AT&T Collaborate with New Albany-Floyd County Schools to Build Innovative Mobile Application
ATLANTA (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- (Sept. 9, 2014) – N2N Services, a leading company focused on technology innovation in the education sector, recently partnered with AT&T to launch a new mobile application for New Albany-Floyd County Schools (NAFCS). The innovative platform allows the community to easily access the school district’s news, events, maps and any user generated feedback.
NAFCS’s application has been in place since the spring of 2013, and is now in its second school year of implementation. The tool allows timely and efficient communications among parents, students and educators, and it makes classroom learning modules and real-time student progress accessible through any device.
“We were so happy to work with AT&T’s Mobile Application Development team to really help improve how the New Albany-Floyd County Schools connect and share information,” said Kiran Kodithala, CEO at N2N. “The way educators, parents and students interact is changing. In the past, schools never really had to focus on mobile devices. But today, these devices enable all parties to access the school system’s services and resources from anywhere at anytime. Collaboration truly is the key to success.”
Through seamless integration within different systems, the school district and parents can be informed of any positive or negative academic progress with their students. They also now have the ability to seamlessly communicate with administrators and their children’s educators at the touch of a button.
The problems N2N’s services aim to solve in both the K-12 and higher education sectors are the following:
• Supporting 21st century classrooms by providing rich, interactive content to students in-class and out of class
• Integrating open learning resources with instructor-generated content and delivering them directly to student’s mobile devices
• Providing holistic solutions to support adaptive learning and competency based education without disrupting the backend assets/resources
• Making mobile devices a true gateway for learning – not just a resource to access content
• Leveraging innovation and supporting traditional classrooms through a radical transformation phase
• Providing risk dashboards and alerts to support at risk students as early as possible based on data driven decision making
“With the ability to monitor student progress in nearly real time and on an ongoing basis, parents can [now] proactively ask their child what they learned/discussed in school each day, thus extending the opportunity for learning and discussion outside the classroom and into the home,” said Sal Costanzo, Director of Technology Resources at New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation, about the new application in a recent post from AT&T’s Networking Exchange Blog.
