Frisco, Texas (PRWEB) September 12, 2014
Leukemia, the most common cancer in children under the age of 20 years old, affects about 4,103 school aged children every year in the US alone. For youth and their families, the diagnosis can be both mentally and financially crushing. In an effort to decrease these hardships and incentivize students to raise money for the cause, Urban Air Trampoline Park is partnering with the North Texas Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year.
Dallas Fort Worth’s premier Indoor Trampoline Park will join the educational and philanthropic Youth Program along with thousands of students across 119 North Texas counties where they will learn about blood cancers and begin collecting spare change to benefit LLS.
As a reward for schools which raise more than $2,015 over the school year, Urban Air Trampoline Park is offering free passes to one of their four locations. With this added motivational tool, they will be encouraging students to fundraise as much as possible and helping to realize the LLC’s mission of creating a world without blood cancers.
“Urban Air Trampoline Park is an ideal partner for School and Youth,” says Director Steve Abrey. “Passes to enjoy Urban Air’s unique facilities are something that will certainly encourage students to rally behind our mission and collect money that is so vital to funding cutting-edge lifesaving research.”
It was the LLS’ mission which originally attracted Urban Air to School & Youth. Alix Wren, Special Events Coordinator for Urban Air Trampoline Park said, “At Urban Air everything we do is geared toward the health and wellbeing of children and their families. We are so thrilled that our partnership with LLS will allow us to assist even more youth by helping schools raise awareness and money for such a worthy cause.”
Urban Air Trampoline Park saw firsthand the positive impact that the LLS School & Youth program has on their local community, and beyond, after a fundraiser at its Frisco location called Jump for Julia and Leap for Lainey. After helping raise money in honor of two families with young daughters currently battling a leukemia diagnosis, Urban Air was determined to find a way to continue offering its support.
