The International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), the premier international, networking and professional growth organization for women in the restructuring and insolvency industry, is pleased to announce the 2014 finalists for its 4th Annual “Rising Star” Award. The five finalists are:
Kathryn Harrison – Kathryn is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Network. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Western Pennsylvania Network. She is a bankruptcy attorney with Campbell & Levine, LLC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Lauren McKelvey – Lauren is a member of the Washington, D.C. Network. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the D.C. Network and is the IWIRC newsletter editor. She is a bankruptcy attorney with Wiley Rein LLP in McLean, Virginia.
Rebecca Petereit – Rebecca is a member of the Dallas – Fort Worth Network. She currently serves as the Events/Fundraising Co-Chair of the DFW Network. She is a bankruptcy attorney with Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. in Dallas, Texas.
Tara Schellhorn – Tara is a member of the New Jersey Network. She currently serves as the Secretary for the New Jersey Network. She is a bankruptcy attorney with Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP in Morristown, New Jersey.
Jennifer Taylor – Jennifer is a member of the Northern California Network. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Northern California Network and was an organizer of IWIRC’s 2014 Leadership Summit. She is of counsel with O'Melveny & Myers LLP in San Francisco, California.
The Rising Star Award is bestowed upon an IWIRC member with 8 or less years of experience in her respective field, who has made considerable contributions to her professional success and displayed a high-level of commitment to advancing IWIRC’s mission—enhancing the professional status of women in the insolvency and restructuring profession—at the local, national and/or international levels.
The talented group of finalists were chosen from a group of 13 nominees from IWIRC networks throughout the world that include attorneys, bankers, turnaround advisors, claims and noticing agents and other restructuring industry consultants and professionals who are actively engaged in the restructuring industry.
The 4th Annual “Rising Star” Award will be awarded at a luncheon that will take place during IWIRC’s 21st Annual Fall Conference in Chicago, Illinois, October 8, 2014.
