L Bee and the Money Tree Named Best Video Production for Personal Finance Blog at the 5th Annual Plutus Awards
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- L Bee and the Money Tree, a popular personal finance blog, announced today that the blog's web series, "Awkward Money Chat", has been named the Best Video/Multimedia production for Personal Finance at the 5th Annual Plutus Awards. The Plutus Awards is an annual awards show designed to honor the best in personal finance media.
In February 2014, Lauren Bowling, author of L Bee and the Money Tree, debuted the first season of "Awkward Money Chat," an interview format show where guests discuss with Bowling the most intimate details of their personal finances. “Only through talking about money can we become more cognizant of it," Bowling said. "Although talking about money makes most people feel incredibly uncomfortable. I decided to put it all out there; play up the awkwardness to make the show both funny and entertaining, but still provide an education as well."
The first season featured a variety of guests from different walks of life: from a newlywed discussing her $5,000 dollar wedding, to the brave guest who revealed she paid off $30,000 in credit card debt through a debt consolidation program. Bowling was honored at the Plutus Awards ceremony on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at The New Orleans Marriott in New Orleans, La.
