Avi Katz of UBS Joins Business Licenses, LLC as Vice President of Technology
Monsey, NY (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- Business Licenses, LLC (http://www.businesslicensesolutions.com), an industry leader in business license compliance solutions, has announced that Avi Katz has joined the company as Vice President Of Technology, effective immediately. The company is expanding its current SaaS offerings with new, sophisticated technology, while at the same time aggressively rolling out a new suite of products to meet a growing demand from resellers that rely on Business Licenses, LLC’s web-based integration tools to offer white label business license compliance services alongside their existing offerings.
“Coming on the heels of our partnership with Barlap, the timing of this hire could not have been better,” says David Polatseck, President of Business Licenses, LLC. “Avi’s background in Financial IT, an industry which notoriously has no margin-of-error for technology lapses, will be invaluable. With this addition to our cutting edge IT Department, we will be poised for substantial growth with existing and new resellers.”
Katz comes to Business Licenses, LLC directly from UBS Wealth Management where he served for more than 8 years as a Senior Technical Director responsible for all areas of the design, development, and implementation of an integrated workflow management system. That system, known as ServiceWorks, is a business platform that offers streamlined rules-based workflow, as well as unified business user-experience against a host of business applications that is responsible for the movement of over $140B in yearly assets throughout UBS.
Prior to his role at UBS, Katz was the Vice President of IT at Wachovia Securities where he managed over 20 batch and online credit systems that processed all of the firm’s business transactions. Under his leadership, the company was able to seamlessly convert more than 20 million securities accounts and several hundred business applications within an 8-month period after they merged with Prudential. Katz received the prestigious National Business Value Award for his accomplishments.
In his new role at Business Licenses, LLC, Katz will use his extensive technology background to further enhance the company’s existing line of software applications. These applications, including the Business License Management System (BLMS)® and the License Determination Tool (LDT)®, are already used by some of North America’s most recognized retail, healthcare, and manufacturing brands. “We are very proud of our software and services, but regulatory compliance is a complex activity that requires state-of-the-art technology in order to run an efficient workflow. If our technology isn’t continually improving, then we would be failing our loyal customers,” says Vice President Abe Brach. “That’s to say nothing of our partners and resellers who also rely on our technology solutions to keep their customers satisfied.”
“I wouldn’t trade my position in the financial industry for just any company,” said Avi Katz. “Business Licenses, LLC has the three essential elements that I look for in an organization. One, they have active programs in place to listen to their customers and monitor their needs. Two, they evaluate technology according to its tangible impact rather than its hype. Three, they invest in the people – in both IT and customer support – who can take full advantage of the technology at their disposal. Those are the attributes of a genuine solutions provider.”
Avi Katz will be directing Business Licenses, LLC’s IT Department out of the company’s corporate headquarters in the greater New York area.
