Scotland’s new domain Dot Scot is now available to register for Scots living in the United States.

The .scot domain, which will give Scottish businesses and individuals across the world a unique Internet identity, has entered the General Availability phase and is now available from ICANN-accredited domain name registrar Easyspace.

According to census reports there are as many people of Scottish descent living in North America as there are in Scotland and a number of ex-pat organizations in the US have already become Dot Scot pioneers and plan to use the new domain for their websites.
