Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Celebrates Grand Opening of Women’s Health Center
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- Florida Hospital Zephyrhills officially celebrates the grand opening of the newly renovated Women’s Health Center on Wednesday, September 24. With more than 12,000 square feet of space, the specially designed center offers a new level of personalized care for women in East Pasco County. The Women’s Health Center offers comprehensive women’s services including gynecology, urology and pelvic floor health, labor and delivery through The Baby Place®, and breast care through the Simpson Breast Health Center.

The grand opening celebration will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, with the ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m. Tours will be offered along with refreshments. Staff will also be present to answer questions. The Women’s Health Center, a $750,000 project, includes 17 patient rooms including Labor and Delivery suites and postpartum rooms. It also includes a well-baby nursery and a private waiting area for family members.

Other events are also planned to celebrate the opening of the Women’s Health Center. The Community Baby Shower will take place on Sunday, September 28, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the hospital’s outpatient lobby. This family-friendly event will allow new and expectant parents to tour the center, meet with staff as well as physicians. Other activities include fire truck tours, car seat safety checks and children’s activities.
On Thursday, October 9, women are invited to Her Health, an evening devoted to women’s health. Attendees will hear physician and expert talks on a variety of women’s health topics, enjoy dinner, fun, and the opportunity to win great prizes. The Women’s Health Center is just one of a number of positive changes taking place at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. The hospital is preparing to start a complete renovation of the cafeteria due to reopen by the end of 2014 and a new orthopedic unit expected to be completed by early 2015.
