TrustHCS Finalizes Contracts with Mid America Service Solutions (MSS)
Springfield, MO (PRWEB) September 25, 2014 -- Mid America Service Solutions (MSS), a consolidated service center that is part of VHA SupplyNetworks, and TrustHCS have finalized contract discussions to secure service for MSS’s 287 member organizations. A growing need for remote and shared coding services as well as the anticipated decline in productivity due to ICD-10 implementation helped drive the agreement.
MSS identified four coding needs within its member organizations-- backlog of records requiring coding; decline in coding staff productivity from ICD-10; access to specialty coders (e.g. Interventional Cardiology and Radiology) and backfill as a result of vacation, sick and FMLA. TrustHCS will support MSS organizations with expertise to help plan client specific coding resource needs leading up to and beyond the volatile transition to ICD-10. The proven quality of services provided to existing TrustHCS clients who are also members of MSS helped drive the establishment of the agreement.
“With so many initiatives taking place in the healthcare space the need for additional coding resources has become exceedingly critical” stated TrustHCS President, Torrey Barnhouse. “Our current clients who are members of MSS have turned to us to help get through ICD-10 training initiatives that take their coding staff off their daily assignments. They’ve also asked us to help address backlogs of charts that they simply cannot address and that are causing revenue cycle issues. We look forward to expanding the number of MSS members we support in these types of business critical initiatives.”
The contract between TrustHCS and MSS builds on the establishment of TrustHCS, as an awarded supplier of Novation.
