Americana Manhasset Concours d'Elegance Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

Americana Manhasset hosts their 10th Annual Concours D’Elegance on Sunday, October 12. The event has grown into one of the East Coast’s premier luxury car events featuring 150 rare, privately owned cars that compete for Best in Class as well as Best in Show titles.

Competing in this year’s event is a 1967 Ferrari 330 P3/4 Chassis 0846, winner of the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona with drivers Chris Amon and Lorenzo Bandini. Also competing is the 2001 B.A.R. Honda F1, chassis 030 (003), one of only 8 chassis created. This car was driven by Jaques Villeneuve and Oliver Panis, the last French driver to win a Formula One Grand Prix.

To help celebrate the event’s 10-year milestone, Americana Manhasset welcomes two noted automotive experts to serve as Guests of Honor:

  • David Donohue, Championship Racing Driver. Winner of the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2009 with co-drivers Darren Law, Buddy Rice and Antonio Garcia for Team Brumos Racing, Donohue is also a Porsche 918 Client Relationship manager.
  • Lauren Fix, The Car Coach®. Lauren is a nationally recognized automotive expert, media guest, journalist, author, keynote speaker, television host and former racecar driver. A trusted car expert, Lauren provides an insider’s perspective on a wide range of automotive topics, industry and consumer news, and safety issues.

This year, the Concours will benefit Sunrise Day Camp through the purchase of raffle tickets to win a 2015 Porsche Macan S. Sunrise Day Camp is the only dedicated camp in the nation for children with cancer and their siblings, where summer camp and year-round programs are provided free of charge. Official judging begins at 9:30am. Dr. Howard Krimko, National Director of Rolls Royce Owners Club, will serve as Chief of Judges for the event. The results of the competition and the award presentation, courtesy of Tiffany & Co., will take place at 2pm on the north side of Americana Manhasset.
