Preston Automotive Group is United for a Cure in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Preston, Maryland (PRWEB) October 06, 2014 -- Preston Automotive Group has announced United for a Cure during the whole month of October. Breast cancer is a deadly disease. It is the most common cancer among women worldwide, as well as the second leading cause of death for women. And the chances are that you know someone with breast cancer because 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so Preston Automotive Group has decided to do something special in support. All the Preston Maryland and Delaware Dealerships will be donating $50 to the American Cancer Society for each new or pre-owned vehicle sold during the month of October. Along with the donations, each of the locations for Ford, Hyundai, Lincoln, Mazda, and Nissan, for the first time ever, will be giving away a Pink Frog with every vehicle to help spread Breast Cancer Awareness.
Each Auto Body Shop of Preston Automotive Group (PAG) in Preston, Cambridge, and Snow Hill has also pledged to donate to the American Cancer Society. Each shop will be donating 2% of all service done during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “I am happy that our body shops can help donate to this special cause,” says Brian Grimm, Body Shop Director of PAG, “Many people that do business with us have been affected by this disease and we want to give back.”
The American Cancer Society (ACS) is the largest, voluntary-based health organization in the United States. Thanks to the ACS and donators like Dave Wilson Sr., millions of women are surviving breast cancer today. “I am honored to help bring awareness and donate to the American Cancer Society. Breast Cancer has not only personally touched my own family, but also my friends and Preston Automotive Group family as well,” says Dave Wilson Sr., President of the Preston Automotive Group.
There are also other events taking place throughout the month at Preston Automotive to support the fight against breast cancer. For instance, just down the road from Preston Auto Body, the Paint the Plex Pink event will be taking place on October 24th. At this event there will be food, kid’s activities, a donation ceremony, and of course the “Drive to Inspire” Pink Truck. The Truck is covered in pink graphics as well as signatures to show our support for the fight against breast cancer.
