Titanium Industries, Inc. Implements the STRATIX Metal Service Center Software from Invera at Pierce Spafford
Rockaway, NJ (PRWEB) October 08, 2014 -- Implementation
The implementation of the metals ERP software solution STRATIX included quotes, sales, metal price book, purchasing, receiving, inventory planning and forecasting, multi-step production, production scheduling, delivery and logistics planning, invoicing, and financials.
Titanium Industries previously implemented STRATIX at all of their eighteen locations, including ten locations in the U.S. as well as Montreal (Canada), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Birmingham (UK), Bergen (Norway), Duisburg (Germany), Bangalore (India), Shanghai (China), and Taipei (Taiwan).
Brett Paddock, T.I. President & CEO, comments, "The strategic addition of Pierce Spafford to the T.I. organization significantly expands the breadth of our offering to a full complement of metals, including nickel alloys and stainless and alloy steels. The implementation of STRATIX into Pierce Spafford will provide global visibility and availability of our inventories, enable us to better serve our global customer base, and further enhance our industry leading quality system.”
Benefits
Pierce Spafford implemented a full complement of STRATIX features such as real-time order status, on-line production planning, shop floor receipt of goods, shop-floor production recording, on-line shipment planning, and test certificate scanning and automatic printing/emailing at time of shipment.
The sales department benefited from the on-line Order Status Inquiry, which allows their sales staff to provide the status of the customer’s Sales Order at a single glance no matter where the order is being processed. Sales can now also take a single order and source each line item from any number of company warehouses located across the country.
The production department is making full use of the on-line Production Planning functions to view orders to be picked or processed before they are released for fulfillment. Production managers now use on-line Production Schedules to manage work in the warehouse, and, as orders are fulfilled, warehouse personnel record production and print any item or package labels using the on-line work center lineup.
Titanium Industries also implemented the multi-company function in STRATIX for their US and worldwide locations. The multi-company functionality is used for a group of companies that operate on STRATIX, and each company is set up as a separate legal entity on the same or different servers. The multi-company function helps to further ‘connect’ those companies and create additional synergies. The ‘consolidated stock inquiry’ allows users in any T.I. company to view stock across the enterprise in a single view so that they do not have to log in to each company separately. A function is also provided to automate arm’s length transactions between the separate legal entities, including purchasing/sales and shipment/receipt of material.
The on-line Shipping Planning function provides a comprehensive, multi-layer inquiry that summarizes orders by customer, delivery route, or shipping zone for better load consolidation. The shipping department can highlight orders and create a load with a single click, which has been beneficial for Pierce Spafford who has their own fleet of trucks.
