Strong Relationships Prove Crucial in Project Contract Awarding Process, says ILX
(PRWEB UK) 15 October 2014 -- The contract, of which the value is yet to be disclosed to the public, is the latest in a number of deals the two companies have shared in recent years. As reported, this latest venture will see the Jacobs Group oversee the construction of a new tunnel designed to run along the 23-mile toll crossing located at the Thimble Shoals Channel, an area that straddles the coastal state borders of Virginia, Delaware and Maryland.
The project management contract puts the company in charge of numerous developments, with associated bridges and artificial islands required to be built to support the functioning of the tunnel itself. On top of this, Jacobs will also be providing the CBBT with top-level support as they begin to review the intricate technical requirements of the proposals within the project.
CBBT’s Executive Director stated that ‘Jacobs is to be commended for their excellent proposal and presentation that distinctly expressed their design, procurement, and project management experience that together with their collective skillsets will be integral to the success of this milestone project.’ Jacobs Group Vice President Randy Pierce returned the compliment by stating, ‘We are delighted to provide support for this important project and are honoured the Commission continues to turn to us as their partner.’
As market leaders in the training of the acclaimed project management methodology PRINCE2®, ILX have released a statement following the news. Their Global Head of Marketing, Kevin Tewis, said that ‘the continued business dealings between these two clients highlight just how important strong, professional relationships are within the project management industry.
‘Through carrying out their practices to the highest possible standard, Jacobs have proven that they are perfectly suited to the needs of the CBBT. This level of understanding, communication and collaboration is something that often proves invaluable when pitching proposals for new contracts and does much to enhance the reputation of the project management company.
