ACE is proud to announce the inclusion of four ACE-accredited hospitals in the 2014-2015 Becker’s Hospital Review list of Top 100 Hospitals with Great Heart Programs. For these four hospitals, ACE accreditation has been part of a strategic, long-term commitment to best practices in cardiac care, as defined by experts in the field of interventional cardiology and validated by external peer review.
Being named to Becker’s Hospital Review Top 100 list reflects national prominence in cardiovascular excellence. The four ACE-accredited hospitals included in the Top 100 list are:
- Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia
- Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia
- Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia
- Scott & White Hospital (now Baylor Scott & White Temple) in Temple, Texas

Baylor Scott & White Health, now the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas, was formed in 2013 from the combination of Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare. Facilities from both entities—Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas (now Baylor Scott & White Temple)—had independently earned ACE accreditation through the Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization & Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (CathPCI) and Cardiac Catheterization (CC) accreditation programs.
