Phoenix Internet Acquires Wyde Beam Broadband, Expands Service Valleywide
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) October 28, 2014 -- Phoenix Internet recently announced the acquisition of Last Mile Communications, Inc. assets known as Wyde Beam Broadband. This acquisition enhances their ability to provide high-speed Internet to businesses and residents in the Phoenix-metro area, Wittmann, Payson and Tonto Basin, especially those in underserved communities.
Since 1997, Phoenix Internet has dedicated themselves to providing Valley businesses and residents with an alternative to the big name phone and cable Internet service providers. In many cases, they provide solutions to areas that are underserved or not serviced at all by those companies. With the acquisition of Wyde Beam, Phoenix Internet will expand its customer base to over 4,000 businesses and households and have offices in both Phoenix and Gilbert. Existing Wyde Beam customers will soon be able to take advantage of upgraded technology and more service options to enhance their Internet speed and experience.
“When we started looking at Wyde Beam, we were excited about the synergy between the two companies. Both are dedicated to serving their customers and making high-speed Internet available to everyone,” said Andrew Gutierrez, Vice President of Phoenix Internet. “Once we are through the initial transition phase, we will begin working with Wyde Beam customers to upgrade their service speed. We are also planning to expand our service area, giving more businesses and residents options to access high-speed broadband service.”
Phoenix Internet is a fixed-point wireless Internet service provider; this method of service delivery has a number of advantages over other Internet service providers who only rely on existing cable or telephone wiring which can be old, in poor condition, or in some areas completely non-existent. In those areas that don’t have proper infrastructure, businesses and residents are unable to obtain Internet service.
With fixed-point wireless Internet, a small antenna is placed directly on the building and pointed at a nearby tower. This establishes a direct connection and feed into the business or home with no need to rely on a signal streamed through cables or wiring that may be old, damaged and shared by all their neighbors. This improves speed and reduces latency, which is critical to avoid interruptions in business productivity, VPN connectivity for remote business employees, and overall uptime. It also provides a seamless experience and unmatched speed when streaming movies or TV shows, gaming online, and utilizing your Internet connection for phone service/VoIP.
In addition to faster speeds and better service, Phoenix Internet has a track record of 99.99% uptime – in fact they guarantee it. It is this level of service that has enticed many businesses to switch to Phoenix Internet for their Internet service. They provide both primary and redundant or back-up Internet services to many big businesses throughout the Valley, including The Phoenician, McDonald’s, Bose and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, among others. Over the years, Phoenix Internet has expanded their suite of business services to include colocation or data back-up and storage solutions, as well as telephone or voice services.
“This is an exciting time for all of us as Phoenix Internet. We are constantly looking to the future to find ways to better serve our customers and our community, enabling them to run their businesses as quickly and efficiently as possible and access the entertainment and information they are seeking!” said Gutierrez.
