Officer Gives Honor Flight Vets the Royal Treatment
ATLANTA, Georgia (PRWEB) October 30, 2014 -- Airport Security Officer Frank Noiles gave the VIP treatment to veterans traveling on an Honor Flight to the World War II Memorial last week. Noiles is an employee of U.S. Security Associates (USA), a national security company ranked among the G.I. Jobs Top 100 Military Friendly Employers® and the Top 50 Military Friendly Spouse Employers®. USA is recognizing Noiles with an award certificate for his outstanding show of respect to veterans taking the Honor Flight out of the international airport in Portland, Maine where he works.
The flight was donated and arranged by Honor Flight Maine, a regional hub of the Honor Flight Network. The Honor Flight Network transports veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War to Washington, D.C., free of charge, so they can visit the memorials dedicated to them.
Noiles rolled out the red carpet for the Honor Flight veterans from the moment they arrived at the airport, directing traffic and ensuring convenient parking for the veterans’ escorts. He assisted in wheeling the veterans inside the airport terminal and generally ensured that the departure process ran smoothly. Noiles was so invested in creating a positive experience for the veterans that he came in to work on his day off to help the returning passengers.
In a letter to USA District Manager Rich Dillon, the client’s Airport Security & Communications Manager commends Noiles for his attentiveness to the honorees’ needs. “Having Frank on your team, who really knows this airport community as well as he does, and consistently goes above and beyond wherever and whenever he can, reflects highly upon [USA and us]. Officer Noiles’ presence,” added the client, “was so very helpful.”
Dillon joins the client in acknowledging Noiles’ contributions at a company award presentation this week. “As a company, USA is committed to supporting our nation’s veterans both through targeted military recruiting and through philanthropic efforts. Honor Flights are all about honoring America’s veterans, and we are proud of Officer Noiles for doing such a stand-out job paying tribute to these heroes as an ambassador of USA and the airport.”
Noiles is one of a number of USA employees who have had the opportunity to help veterans on Honor Flights. USA’s security team at the nearby airport in Manchester, N.H. also has a history of exceptional service to Honor Flight passengers. Last year, two USA employees, District Manager John MacLeod and Account Manager Michael Cline, served as Honor Flight Guardians. The role of an Honor Flight Guardian is to personally care for veterans during their travels from their hub destination to Washington D.C. and back again. MacLeod received a letter afterward from the veteran who was in his care, describing the trip as “the most satisfying day of his life.” Every USA employee who has been involved with Honor Flights has found the experience deeply rewarding. According to Cline, “It humbled me in ways I cannot begin to express.”
