American Agricultural Insurance Company Honored With Enterprise Risk Management Award
Miami, FL (PRWEB) November 07, 2014 -- In recognition of the top Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs, RIMS (Risk Management Society™) has awarded American Agricultural Insurance Company (American Ag) an honorable mention for this year’s ERM Award of Distinction. American Ag is one of two companies to be honored this year.
The award was presented in Miami, FL on October 28, 2014. Lorie Graham, Senior Manager of ERM and Insurance Services for American Ag accepted the award.
American Ag earned this honor by implementing a robust ERM program that aligns risk taking behavior with strategic objectives. At American Ag, risk appetite is embedded throughout the organization and monitored with key risk metrics. By aligning risk and appetite, American Ag is able to allocate resources to the most important risks and take advantage of opportunities that promote strategic success.
“We are honored to win this award. We know our ERM program creates value for our customers,” said Graham. “We are extremely proud of where we have taken this ERM program, and we believe in its power to help the Farm Bureau insurance companies take their business to the next level and to mitigate potential risks.”
The RIMS organization accepts award submissions globally; judging criteria includes the scope of the ERM program and how it engages different levels throughout the organization, the program’s link or connection to the company’s overall mission, and its ability to create additional value for the organization.
“We are proud of the work our ERM team produces. The innovative thinking and vision Lorie and her team provide make our ERM program among the best in the industry,” said Janet Katz, American Ag CEO. “ERM is increasingly being adopted by companies who realize and understand its value.”
