NAPSRx Announces the Nation’s Largest Online Career Services Center for CNPR Students and Current Pharmaceutical Sales Reps
Washington, DC (PRWEB) November 12, 2014 -- The NAPSRx announced today the re-launch of its highly reviewed industry recognized online Career Center, a first of its kind online resource for pharmaceutical sales reps and recent CNPR grads seeking to build their careers as well as land their first job in pharmaceutical sales. The NAPSRX Career Center enables people to explore and to thousands of pharmaceutical sales rep job openings, learn from professionals already in those fields, and understand the skills they need to pursue the jobs they want. The NAPSRX Career Center will also connect students with the online courses that will help them to acquire and develop the skills prospective employers in their chosen field demand. This new platform is designed to address the skills and knowledge gap that thousands of potential pharmaceutical sales candidates face every year as they transition into a pharmaceutical sales rep career.
"We are re-launching a national career center because we recognize that our industry is growing and the needs of employers are changing far more rapidly than educational and training is for incoming pharmaceutical sales reps," said Brad Sullivan, NAPSRX Marketing Director. "Our goal in re-launching the NAPSRX Career Center is to empower students to make themselves more attractive candidates for the pharmaceutical sales rep jobs they want to pursue. We are doing this by supplementing what students are learning in the CNPR Pharmaceutical Sales training program, assessing the skills they have now, illustrating for them the skills they're going to need, and providing students with access to the online courses as well as job openings that will quickly allow them to close those gaps."
The NAPSRX has been a leading voice1 encouraging universities and employers to do more to address the training of new pharmaceutical sales reps. And, while the NAPSRX has encouraged closer partnerships between education and pharmaceutical companies, research shows that less than half of entry level pharmaceutical sales candidates have ever used their CNPR career center, further highlighting the need for a national online resource that is accessible to students while they're completing the CNPR Pharmaceutical Sales training program and long after they've have graduated from it. Additionally, the NAPSRX Career Center will offer employers greater recruiting efficiency via a single point of access to a national pool of recent CNPR graduates who can easily be filtered by coursework, completed internships, skills, geography and more.
The initial re-launch of the NAPSRX Career Center is scheduled for November 7, 2014 and will include basic functionality such as entry-level job search and career exploration pages. In addition, NAPSRX will introduce additional functionality, including skills navigation tools and a skills marketplace where students can discover and purchase online courses that build the skills today's employers demand. NAPSRX also plans to regularly add content, courses and other tools to supplement student learning and job matching over time.
