Multi-Million Dollar Contract Highlights Confidence in Power Project Team, says ILX
(PRWEB UK) 20 November 2014 -- As reported in the Sydney Morning Herald, the contract, believed to be worth hundreds of millions of pounds, removes much of the speculation that has surrounded the project in recent months. The heavy investment from Adani into the project raised eyebrows from many potential investors due to its nature, with close analysis being made by Parsons Brinckerhoff before concluding that the giant thermal coal venture promises to be a successful one.
After months of negotiation between the two companies, the project is thought to be moving swiftly from the approval stage into the production stage. The Carmichael mine, rail and port-based project, allegedly worth over £10.2 billion, will see Parsons Brinckerhoff lead the project through their providing of assurance services across a variety of smaller contracts, ranging from procurement to engineering and construction that will begin over the coming months.
This is the latest in a series of high-profile investments in the region by Adani, coming a matter of months after they financed the construction of a 388 kilometre long railway designed to transport vast quantities of coal towards the port. Due to the huge predicted energy demand in India over the coming decades, the company are preparing for improved growth and increasing prominence as the country continues to strengthen its agenda of reform.
As market leaders in providing PRINCE2® training across a huge range of industries, the ILX Group have released a statement following the news. Their Global Head of Marketing, Kevin Tewis said, "India is a country whose growth is well documented, with greater commitments to infrastructure ensuring that this progress is able to be sustained.
"What these contracts represent is a confidence not only in India’s economic potential but in the project management methodologies advocated by Parsons Brinckerhoff throughout their history. In the construction and engineering industry, a pragmatic and well-structured approach is integral for the success of any project. This is especially the case for a project of this magnitude, but it is something that is applicable across many industries.
