Blain’s Farm & Fleet Closed on Thanksgiving Day
Janesville, WI (PRWEB) November 14, 2014 -- Blain’s Farm and Fleet is family owned and operated by Jane Blain Gilbertson, daughter of co-founder Bert Blain and his brother, Claude. The company was established in 1955. In keeping with tradition and honoring our valued associates and their families, Blain’s Farm & Fleet stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Blain Gilbertson commented “We are a company with great history… just shy of 60 years now. And it is my job to ensure the right balance of honoring our historical practices with certain contemporary trends. One of those current trends chosen by many of our competitors is to have their associates work on Thanksgiving. But as the owner of Blain’s Farm & Fleet, I know that kind of decision would impact the more than 4,000 families who support our company year round. It’s simply not worth it. So we will continue to honor our past…and our associates on this day by keeping our doors closed on Thanksgiving. Our hope is that our associates will enjoy the holiday with their families and friends.
